The Green Cornwall Wedding | Jen & Caz

The Green is a luxury wedding venue nestled in the heart of Cornwall and where Jen & Caz spent the weekend with their family & friends.

In the world of epic wedding couples, Jen & Caz have it sorted. They planned a wedding that was totally for them and their day was filled with food, music, laughter, dogs, fire dancers, oh… and a wedding ceremony.

This was an amazing day and The Green Cornwall is definitely one of my favourite Cornwall wedding venues to work at.

This was my first time at the Green Cornwall as a wedding photographer and wow, what a venue! With its lush greenery and bohemian charm, the Green provides the perfect canvas for however you want your wedding. 

I arrived at the Green a little early to have a walk around the venue, grab a coffee and say hello to the girls.  

Jen & Caz were getting ready between the main house and the cottages and doing their best not to see each other. The cottages are great for prep with loads of space and most importantly, great lighting!

I always find it quite an honour to be part of the morning. Although I like to get to know couples a little in the lead-up to the wedding, I’m still essentially a stranger with a camera. So for people to let me in to capture these intimate moments is a privilege.

The Green has two outdoor and two indoor ceremony locations so whatever the British weather may throw at you, The Green has you more than covered.

Although it was Jen & Caz’s day, I should add Dexter in as well. Their super-cute dog was a big part of the wedding! I do love dogs at weddings and will take as many pictures of them as I do of your guests.

On the day, the weather was amazing and Jen & Caz’s ceremony was held outdoors at the Oak Arbour. There were some beautiful heartfelt vows and after the ceremony, everyone moved over to the Green Room for drinks and nibbles.  

They had plenty of time to mingle with their guests and while everyone was together we took a few family formal group photos. And as their guests were seated for the wedding breakfast, we went for a stroll around the woodland for a few portrait shots.  

Taking 5-10 minutes for some ‘couple time’ shots is not only great for some epic pictures of the two of you, but also a chance for you both to enjoy some time alone.

Following the amazing food there were heartfelt and hilarious speeches and then it was back outside for garden games and a few more pictures as the sun set.

And then the evening party began! Jen & Caz took to the dancefloor as the MIB Band played their first dance. They were soon joined by pretty much the whole wedding party and the dancefloor was bouncing!

But the night was not over yet, as one of the highlights of the day was the mind-blowing fire performer! 

What a day! I’ve been a wedding photographer for over ten years now, but I have to say this was one of my favourites. Jen & Caz are so lovely, so warm & welcoming, and their wedding was so much fun. I just loved seeing everyone have such a great time and I’m super proud to have been a part of this one.
