My first post lockdown photoshoot was spent hanging out with the lovely Martin Family. There were plenty of laughs, and the girls kept us all entertained. Even their grandparents jumped in for a few shots.
Thanks so much to the Martin Family, it’s been amazing to be back behind the camera doing what I love.
With 2020 being a little post-apocalyptical and my planned year of weddings all being rearranged, it has meant that I have had more time for family photography.
If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s been the importance of family. Especially in those early days of lockdown and not being seeing our loved ones.
Although lockdown seemed to pause many things, life continued in many ways and it made us more aware of our families and the little things that you missed. Those memories, the personalities, interactions, and unique mannerisms.
I’ve always said that photography places you in time and documenting families over the summer confirmed this. Most of my family photography enquiries wanted to capture their families as they are right now.
We are all so much more aware of how quickly time passes, and to sometimes stop, appreciate and remember these special and unique times.
