St Mawes Wedding | Emma & Mark
I’ve known Emma & Mark since 2013 when they opened Picnic Cornwall, a Coffee shop & Deli in Falmouth. It was a pleasure when they asked me to photograph their St Mawes Wedding. Now it’s not often that I get to travel to a wedding by boat. But as St Mawes is just a short journey on the water from Falmouth it was a great way to start a wonderful day.
I joined Emma & Mark’s family & friends at St Mawes Castle as they awaited their arrival. They arrived accompanied by their very well behaved dogs ‘Dougie & Merry’. Following the ceremony Emma, Mark and the wedding party walked down from the castle to St Mawes harbour where we boarded the Duchess of Cornwall, one of the St Mawes Ferry’s that Emma & Mark regular travel on. The ferry took the Wedding party for a Champagne & Cornish Pasty cruise around Percuil River and Falmouth Bay.
Back on dry land the wedding party headed to the stunning Idle Rocks Hotel for celebrations, jazz, dancing and Champagne Afternoon Tea on the terrace. On such a beautiful summer’s day, you could have easily mistaken St Mawes for the South of France.
Congratulations Emma & Mark and thank you for allowing me to share your day.
