A Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding is one of the most elegant locations in Cornwall to get married. And for Rebecca & Jack, it was their dream wedding venue. They married in the intimate Godrevy Room to panoramic views across St Ives Bay and the stunning Cornish coastline.

Rebecca & Jack had originally planned their wedding in 2020, but after covid cancelled the world, their priorities completely changed and they decided to have a baby instead.
So when they decided to plan their wedding again they wanted to escape to their favourite place with their closest people. And they said ‘Ultimately our day was about uniting our family and the 3 of us being one‘.
And they got engaged on Porthmeor Beach, just a few miles down the road in St Ives. So getting married here felt just right.
I love the drive down to Carbis Bay. As you come down the hill, the view of St Ives Bay is breathtaking and when you arrive you discover that the hotel is an unbelievable venue to spend a wedding day.
My day started with Rebecca as she got ready in the main house, and her room had that ‘breathtaking view across St Ives Bay‘. Jack was downstairs welcoming their guests ahead of the ceremony.
For their ceremony, Rebecca & Jack married in the Godrevy Room. It’s one of twelve areas that the Carbis Bay Hotel has licensed for ceremonies which means that your wedding can be tailored to however you wish your day to be. As they wanted a chilled and intimate wedding, the Godrevy Room was perfect for them. And it also had that panoramic view across St Ives Bay (you can see a theme building here).
I’ve said many times before, but I love how the natural light glows around St Ives Bay. It makes the day all the more exciting when capturing the moments in the wedding ceremony, or making cool portraits of couples on the beach and it suits my style of photography perfectly.
And it was the beach where we headed for portraits with Rebecca & Jack. I do love taking 10-15 minutes here and there to make natural photos for couples and the weather was perfect as we got our feet sandy on the beach at Carbis Bay.
As the sunset at Rebecca & Jack’s Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding, they spend the evening with all of their favourite people and finished the night with cigars and a sparkler tunnel.
