Little Oak Cornwall Wedding | Jess & Simon
Little Oak Cornwall is an exclusive-use wedding venue based on a farm just a few miles from Newquay, Cornwall.
Little Oak gives you the sense of being a world away from anywhere. With its countryside location and only being a couple of miles from the coast you have the best of both worlds for your wedding.
Being part of Jess & Simon’s wedding was just amazing. Their wedding brought lots of their loves and influences together for the day, think nature, festivals, camping, fire pits and starry skies. And a love of music! I knew this would be a wonderful wedding and it didn’t disappoint!
Little Oak Cornwall Wedding – Jess & Simon
The impressive Little Oak Cornwall was the venue for Jess & Simon’s stunning outdoor wedding. It’s an amazing space that gives you exclusive use of the wedding fields, and you can make it your own.
Jess said ‘We chose Little Oak because we love nature and being outdoors. The first time we visited we fell in love, there were many different aspects from the wildflower field, woodlands and the beautiful little oak Meadow. We were able to spend all weekend there with our family and friends camping and enjoying our festival-style wedding.
Emma the owner and her family couldn’t have done more to help us celebrate our dream little oak cornwall wedding’.
‘We loved watching all the children playing in their fancy outfits, making dens in the woods, feeling free and enjoying the beautiful environment. I loved how everyone was so relaxed and came together on our special day’.
Jess & Simon’s day began with a ‘First Look’. And if you’re not familiar with a first look, it’s when the couple first gets to see each other and share a little time before making their way to the ceremony.
It’s a break from the old tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony and is becoming more & more popular.
Their ceremony was in a hidden wooded glen, just a short walk from the wedding fields and they exchanged their vows in front of their families and friends.
After the vows, the wedding party walked back up to the marquee and thanks to a megaphone and one of the bridesmaids it all went to plan and everyone lined up to welcome Jess & Simon with a confetti toss.
Following the confetti, everyone spent the afternoon outdoors as the weather was just perfect! Drinks were raised, an array of cakes were laid out, and the first of the music entertainment began.
As the smell of pizza drifted across the field the speeches were made and there were plenty of tears, both laughter and emotion. Jess & Simon’s big focus on music continued with the second music act of the day. And as the sun poured into the tipi the dancefloor filled up and everyone sang along with Andy the Crooner.
Following Andy, I found time to slip off with Jess & Simon for a few portraits to the backdrop of a stunning sunset.
With the evening well underway, people headed for seconds at the pizza van and then back to the tipi that had been set up for the evening with the Jazz Mango kept the dance floor bouncing for the rest of the night.
