Alverton Hotel Wedding
Abi & Craig’s Cornish winter wedding was just fantastic, and also my only wedding in 2020 before everything changed! They married at Ladock Church and then The Alverton in Truro for their wedding celebrations.
Alverton Hotel Wedding | Abi & Craig
This was my first time as an Alverton Hotel Wedding Photographer. The hotel in Truro has a unique charm which gave the day so much atmosphere. Read on below for more from Abi & Craig’s wedding.
Alverton Hotel Wedding | Abi & Craig
Abi & Craig met at school, but not in the classic playground sweetheart sense. They are both teachers and after meeting as colleagues they realised fairly quickly there was a connection.
When it came to planning their wedding they said it would have been the chapel at St Dennis as that is where Abi grew up, but… it had been demolished! As they live in Ladock, the local church was the obvious choice. There is a real sense of community in Ladock village and they love that. And the Alverton is just iconic! Having both been to weddings there as guests they both wanted “that shot” in front of the stained glass window! And having Paul Keppel Photography along to second shoot with me, meant that I had the best photographer for advice on “that shot”.
Looking back on their day, Abi & Craig said the main highlight having our newborn son Oscar with them. They were able to introduce him to family and friends, some of whom they hadn’t seen in a long time. Craig also said the other highlights were bringing both of their families together, sharing lots of love and laughter, marrying his best friend, the speeches and most notably the uninvited guest that was ‘Storm Denis’ (it was a little wet & windy outside).
Thankyou Abi & Craig for having us along to your amazing day. And a big shout out to Paul Keppel for the second shooting.
