Jen & JP first married at the Alverton Hotel in 2020 and enjoyed it so much that they decided to do it again…
But this time there were no covid restrictions and they could party with everyone as they first intended.

When covid rudely interrupted Jen & JP’s wedding plans in 2020 they still decided to marry. But with the many restrictions and only 20 guests they chose to have an Alverton Hotel Micro Wedding. They always wanted to see out their original plans and set a second date in 2022.
This time everyone was able to strap on their dancing shoes and live out their wedding experience as originally planned. Jen & JP rocked their second wedding and I was there again as their Alverton Hotel Wedding Photographer.
The Alverton is a venue like no other and has a delightful blend of vintage charm and modern quirkiness, with its striking architecture. It was here that Jen & JP once again embraced their whimsical spirit and got to live out their wedding dream as intended.
With the legal ceremony already in the bag, Jen & JP made the day their own and with their close friend Richard leading the proceedings, their handfasting ceremony was one of the most memorable experiences of the day. As we gathered with anticipation, the room came alive with an air of magic and excitement as Jen’s Bridesmen and son Ted danced down the aisle throwing flowers.
As the ceremony concluded, a collective cheer erupted, and this was just the start of the celebrations that continued through the day and into the night.
After the ceremony Jen & JP headed into the grounds of the Alverton, to be greeted with a huge shower of confetti. We grabbed a few family photos and then Jen & JP took a little time away for some portrait shots. The Alverton has some perfect locations for pictures. Think greenery, foliage, and earthy tones. They were the perfect contrast for Jen’s dress and JP’s suit.
Back inside, the wedding party made their way back to the Alverton’s Great Hall for the wedding breakfast. And the rest of the evening was spent here, the floor was cleared and Sandy Acre 7 took to the stage to keep their party going.

For their Alverton Hotel Wedding Photographer, Jen & JP, wanted their pictures to match the casual style of the day, with lots of natural photos of them and their guests enjoying themselves.
My photography style at weddings is documentary & reportage. I capture the day naturally as it happens without directing, staging or posing. They were keen for photos in the garden of the hotel and on the balcony in the Great Hall. As Jen put it, ‘We’re happy to freestyle with you on the day‘.
