Labyrinth Themed Wedding at Cornish Camels | Amy & Sam
If you’re a fan of the 1986 fantasy film Labyrinth, you’ll know that it’s full of magic, whimsy, and romance. Amy & Sam love the film and decided to bring that same magic to their wedding day at Cornish Camels.
Cornish Camels is a unique wedding venue on the breathtakingly beautiful Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Wanting to reflect their vision and style, Cornish Camels gave Amy & Sam the freedom to create their Labyrinth Themed Wedding.
Labyrinth Themed Wedding at Cornish Camels | Amy & Sam
Amy & Sam’s Labyrinth Themed Wedding was their second wedding. Originally planned for March 2020, their wedding plans were like many others that year that were affected by a certain covid.
But not letting a global pandemic get in the way, they married in the autumn of 2020 with their closest family & friends just before the second lockdown. And perfectly the date was 31st October which meant that they were able to have a Halloween Wedding.
But they wanted to celebrate how they had always planned so last summer they did just that and were back at Cornish Camels for their alternative wedding and bring their Labyrinth themed wedding day to life.
With a vision like Amy & Sam’s, the venue was always key and Cornish Camels is magical with different locations to create their labyrinth dream.
Think greenery, foliage, and earthy tones. Their wedding guests walked through a winding path to a clearing in the woods where they held their hand-fastening ceremony under the big tree.
Following a huge shower of confetti Amy & Sam led the wedding party to the gardens of Rosuick Cottage where Julian Gaskell and the Ragged Trousered Philanthropists played. As the music soundtracked the afternoon, there was dancing on the lawn, a gin-making workshop, the kids made flower crowns and there were owls from the Screech Owl Sanctuary.
We took a little time for a few family pictures and an epic group shot with everyone who was dressed as Labyrinth characters.
Then as the wedding party made their way through Orchard to the Camel Centre, I headed to the Corn Chamber with Amy & Sam for portraits.
The decor in the Camel Centre was set with wooden trestle tables and blue banquet chairs around the sides and a fog machine and bubbles really set the atmosphere, especially when Amy & Sam took to the stage with their band Brytevibes.
After their band had played, Amy & Sam had their first dance which was also the start of the masked ball. And there were some amazing masks, their wedding guests went all out to make it a wedding to remember.
In conclusion, Amy & Sam’s Labyrinth themed wedding was a unique day and the most memorable way to celebrate their love.

My photography style at weddings is documentary & reportage. I capture the day naturally as it happens without directing, staging or posing. This was exactly what Amy & Sam were looking for when they planned their Labyrinth themed wedding.
