Halloween Wedding
Halloween Wedding | Amy & Sam | Cornish Camels
Many thanks to our closest family that assembled just for a day, donned masks and climbed into a tractor to celebrate with us. We love you all. It’s funny that the happiest day of our lives happened in the middle of a global pandemic. We were so lucky to squeeze the wedding and honeymoon in just before the 2nd lockdown.
Limited in numbers but still the BEST DAY EVER!’
Amy & Sam’s Halloween wedding at Cornish Camels was my last wedding of 2020. And with their original date being in March, it was the first wedding of the 2020 lockdown to be rearranged.
Halloween Wedding | Cornish Camels
When Amy & Sam first started dating, Sam’s sister said ‘finally you have met someone who suits you”. To quote Amy, ‘that describes us in a nutshell, matching weirdos’.
And Cornish Camels was perfectly suited to them, they wanted an off the beaten track venue, not too far from Falmouth, with outdoor space and room for camping. Once they met Jan from Cornish Camels, they knew they’d found their dream venue. They said that Jan is so lovely, supportive and excited about everything. And the bonus was the camels! They both love animals and nature and the camel farm lets you get right up close!
Now, I love a wedding with a theme, and the more unique the better! Amy & Sam both love the film Labyrinth and that featured as the central theme of their wedding. Although they didn’t dress up entirely as Sarah and Jared, they did take the fantasy elements, Venetian gold embellishment. They were going to do masks in the evening but of course, the ball has been postponed. But people still wore masks, just not the ones they planned.
They both adore music (and both host shows on Falmouth’s Source FM), so picking music for the day was easy. You’ll probably never find another two people that have such eclectic music tastes but match so perfectly.
Talking about their day, Amy & Sam said ‘We spent the whole day grinning like Cheshire cats!
It’s only forever…
Regardless of the pandemic & rearranging, Cornish Camels was always going to be Amy & Sam’s wedding venue, and they booked my Half Day Package.
For their wedding photography, they wanted to be able to look back and remember the day, the happiness and the love. But we were also keen to grasp the atmosphere and document the journey through and the spirit of the day.
