Cornwall Micro Wedding | Stacey & Craig | Pendennis Castle

‘Thankyou! We laughed & smiled the whole way through the slideshow, as did our families. The photos are amazing we absolutely love them all’.

Stacey & Craig were married in Falmouth at Pendennis Castle. Their date was originally booked for July and they had plans for a big wedding, lots of family & friends and the full day to be spent at Pendennis Castle.

But as we know, Covid had other plans and they were faced with rearranging their day amongst the ever-changing restrictions. The changes affected their plans significantly, but they were keen to get married in 2020 regardless. Their day went ahead in late September and Stacey & Craig married at the castle with twenty-five of their favourite people.

I arrived at The Oceanic Hotel where Stacey was getting ready with her family & bridesmaids. Her hair was beautifully done by Serendipity and makeup by the lovely Orchard Makeup. Stacey wore an Anna Sorrano Wedding Dress, which looked incredible with her bouquet from George Mackay Flowers. Once ready we made the short journey to Pendennis Castle for the ceremony.

The ceremony was one of their favourite memories of the day, especially for Craig seeing Stacey walk down the aisle. They both agreed it was very emotional finally walking down that aisle after everything.

After some socially distanced family photos, everyone made their way to St Michael’s Resort for dinner. But we stayed at the castle for a little bit longer to take some couples pictures in the gorgeous autumn light. Stacey & Craig had to make a lot of changes, from food to venues and then obviously the number of guests. Nevertheless, they had a fantastic day surrounded by their nearest and dearest, many of whom had travelled over 300 miles to celebrate with them.

Looking back on the day they said it was perfect, and lowering the number of guests took the pressure off, and meant that they got to spend more quality time with everyone.

This was my first post lockdown wedding and all in all, like Stacey & Craig said, it was the perfect day. In a year that has been challenging, difficult and emotional for us all it’s been the newly named ‘micro weddings’ that have made it all a little bit more wonderful.

As I like to say ‘Love Always Wins‘
