Lauren & John – Greenbank Hotel Wedding
‘We loved the day and would do it all again. We had all our immediate family and best friends with us’. – Lauren.
As a Falmouth resident I love to photograph a Wedding in my home town. There are some fantastic venues here and the Greenbank Hotel is one of them. The Greenabank overlooks Falmouth Harbour and the hotel has a contemporary style to it, but with the relaxing vibe of Cornwall. I’ve shot a few weddings here and each one has been very individual.
When I first met Lauren & John I knew that their Wedding was going to be a lot of fun. They had a great vision for what they wanted from the day focused around their family & friends. Some of which included a little surprise for the guests during the Wedding Breakfast…
Lauren & John’s Spring Wedding also happened to be one of the hottest days of May. And as Lauren got ready in the Hotel’s ‘Master Suite’ it made the views across Falmouth Harbour even more stunning.
Following the ceremony everyone gathered on the terrace and soaked up the sun before taking a Vintage Bus on a short trip to the Price of Wales Pier. We boarded the ‘Queen Of Falmouth’ for a river cruise around Falmouth Harbour and the Carrick Roads. The gorgeous weather also played it’s part on the cruise and there were times that you could have thought you were cruising around the Mediterranean.
Back on dry land it was back on the bus to the hotel for the Wedding Breakfast. This was where the surprise happened. Unbeknown to their guests Lauren & John had arranged for some singing waitresses. I was a little unsure on what to expect as I had never experienced Singing Waiters, but after the initial surprise the whole wedding party were up and dancing. It was epic!
As the sun set over Falmouth everyone spent the rest of the evening out on the terrace bringing a perfect and to a perfect day. Thankyou both for trusting me with your day, it was a pleasure to be part of it.
The finer details.
