Veryan Wedding Photographer | Georgie & Michael
Why have one wedding when you can have two!
Being from different countries, Georgie & Michael have friends and family in both the UK and Australia. And they wanted them all to be part of their wedding. So the decision was made to have two celebrations, with four months and 9000 miles between each day.
Their Australian wedding has recently happened in Perth (and looked equally as amazing)! This was the first day in September when I was their Veryan Wedding Photographer.

When Georgie & Michael approached me about shooting their UK wedding, we had a zoom chat and talked about their plans. I felt like I’d known them both for years. I was elated and could not wait to meet them in person and photograph their day!
Georgie & Michael met in Bali when they were both travelling and have pretty much been inseparable since.
As well as a shared love of travelling, they both connected with music, dogs, chocolate, and each other! Georgie always has a smile on her face and Michael has a lot of energy!
Talking ahead of their day they said, ‘We are excited about all our favourite people gathered in one place to celebrate with us‘.
The picturesque village of Veryan was Georgie & Michael’s wedding venue! Georgie has lived in the village for most of her life and has seen many weddings take place at Veryan Church. She always imagined her day would be there, so when the planning for their UK day started, there was going to be no other choice.
Following the church ceremony, the wedding party took a short walk to the local pub (The New Inn, where Michael also worked and was found behind the bar on the day pouring pints for their guests).
As the guests took a walk from the pub to the reception venue I took a little time to get some shots around the village with just Georgie & Michael.
Then onto Barn Cottage where they danced into the reception to the sound of Earth Wind & Fire’s ‘September‘.
At the time of the wedding, travel restrictions meant that Michaels family weren’t able to make it from Australia. But of course, they were there in everyone’s thoughts and in the form of lifesize cardboard cutouts. If you look carefully through their pictures you will find them in the church and dancing away in the evening!
